Program Summary:
Home Ties is a temporary emergency shelter housing up to 10 adolescent males. The AYS Home Ties shelter serves juvenile offenders and Children in Need of Care(CINC) referred by the Community Correction Offices or the CINC Contractors The young men housed by Home Ties are expected to attend school, work on earning a GED, or hold down a job. They also complete scheduled chores, such as washing their own clothes and helping with house upkeep, for a small allowance each week. Staff monitor personal hygiene, study time, bed time, etc. The goal is for the youth to return to home, resource care or a more appropriate setting.
Stories:
Sometimes, it doesn't take much to make a difference in the life of one of our youth.
Referrals / Admission:
All referrals come directly from Community Corrections or the CINC contractors.
